Camp C.O.R.E. graphic novel
A scientific adventure in ecosystem science.
Why did we make this novel?
Humans are a critical part of the global ecosystem and impact many aspects of it through our lifestyles. Each chapter covers an area where recent research has highlighted our influence and potential consequences of the status quo. We wrote this novel as a fun way to introduce this information to a younger audience in a more friendly format.
How is this novel unique?
We collaborated with scientists, educators, and professional illustrators to create a graphic novel with beautiful illustrations, important scientific information, and a compelling story line to engage all audiences. The push and pull from each team member made this novel better as a whole.
How do we recommend you use it?
This novel was designed for primarily 5-8th graders in content. Individual chapters can be read as they pertain to your content. We also have B&W pages that can be used as a coloring activity and we have also created a read-aloud version available on YouTube.
