He is the co-instructor of the "Water Planet" course and has spent a great deal of time updating and refining the class to best relate water issues to undergraduates.
Richard Gill
Rick is a professor of biology who served as a co-principal investigator for this project. He consulted and provided feedback on several of the images, particularly those dealing with coastal environments.
Sophie Hill
Sophie is a postdoctoral researcher who led and coordinated the project. She designed the images with the illustrators, reviewed them with the scientists, refined them with educators, and talked about them with anyone who would listen. She is trained in urban ecology and is a classroom teacher. Her enthusiasm for water began during summers at the swimming pool and continues through years as a river guide, gardener, and thirsty human being. She's loved the unique opportunities this project gave her to grow artistically as well as academically.
Bryan Hopkins
Bryan is a professor of soil science who served as a co-principal investigator for this project. He consulted and provided feedback on several of the images, particularly those dealing with urban and agricultural environments.
Josh LeMonte
Josh is a professor of environmental geology and geochemistry. He offered feedback on many of the images pertaining to ground and surface water flow. He is one of the co-instructors of the "Water Planet" course and works hard to connect his students to the origin and path their water takes before they drink it.
